General information, not legal advice

HelperPay provides general information and calculators about employing domestic workers in South Africa. It is not legal, tax or financial advice and does not create a professional relationship. Laws, minimum wages and official rates change; check important decisions with the Department of Employment and Labour, the CCMA, the UIF, the Compensation Fund or a labour lawyer.

Templates

The employment contract and payslip are templates generated from what you enter. You are responsible for checking that they are complete and correct for your situation before you use or sign them. A clause that gives a worker less than the law requires is not enforceable.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep the tools accurate and show the source for every rule. We cannot guarantee that the site is free of errors or always up to date, and we are not liable for loss arising from its use, to the extent the law allows.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site or use it for unlawful purposes. You may link to any page and share results.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed. South African law governs these terms.
